About This Blog

This blog was started by a current student at Cornell University.  The idea of this blog is to create an awareness in the public of how race and gender play a role in the sports world.  As a college athlete and a person who has participated in sports since the age of six, I have a strong knowledge of the sporting world.  Through my recent studies of how race and gender play explicit roles in all aspects of society, I have found that the sporting world is no exception to this .  My hope for this blog is that those who read it can view sporting news and events with a critical eye, and question why race and gender play such a large role in the sporting world.  Enjoy!
